>I’ve lost my mind this time!

>

As if I don’t have enough to do already…..
I rented a booth in an antique mall…
Really?????

The other dealer has until the last of this month to move out. It’s a nice little space in a really good location in the mall. She had just told them she was leaving when I called, no one else knew about it….
so I took that as sign and took it!
I also bought a beautiful little GREEN Singer 185K.

I’m helping the local ecomony..OK???

Finally I’m back in the sewing room, making one of my favorite garments! I love using antique patterns for new clothing that’s wearable for today.

>My FIRST blog giveaway!

>

I’ve been so inspired by some of the blog giveaways that I have seen, that I wanted to do one of my own!
Sharing is always so much fun!
I’ve been truffling through bins and boxes and deciding what to put into the giveaway and came up with this……
Yes, it’s true….here is YOUR chance to own a fat little pillow similar to mine!
Made from cashmere and silk organza roses.

(LOL  Not what you thought I was going to say first…hmmmm??)
(John!  I expect to see your name on my giveaway list!)
Two vintage feedsack sachets filled with polyfill (or Lavender flowers) and scented with lavender oil.
Three Victorian scrap pieces with roses, hands and doves.  One is a calling card.
One yellow vintage millinery rose.
My favorite pink measuring tape.
Six vintage large blue buttons.
And last, but certainly not least…for my Self Stitched September buddies….
a Dritz Bound Buttonhole Maker tool.

After Zoe posted about the fabulous Dritz Bound Buttonhole Maker, you know I just had to find one!

Ok actually I wound up with two…uh…now THREE! I keep running across them now that I know what they are!  This used to be a very intensive sewing area, sewing items are plentiful.  I just have to drag myself out of bed for yard sales and flea markets!
So again, it’s going on Ebay. :)  You can find it HERE.

“A while back I posted a review of this cool vintage buttonhole tool. Since the wonderful tutorial showing you how to use it seems to have disappeared, I thought I’d write a new one for you. This tool can be found in thrift stores and places like ebay. It basically acts as a nifty little jig that holds everything in place while you sew. Here’s how to use it, with lots of photos.

I scanned the package instructions also, to go with Zoe’s detailed pictures.  If I can’t make fabulous bound buttonholes with all this…there’s no hope at all!
